The Estate on the Bay, located at 1 Barrie Terrace, Barrie, Ontario, sits on 1.3 spectacular acres, with 250 feet of frontage on the north side of beautiful Kempenfelt Bay. The home, built by Arch and Helen Brown, is approximately 10,000 square feet.

The Browns are very well known philanthropists in the community and have graciously donated their home, currently unfurnished and for sale, to be used for this project.

A.J. “Arch” Brown has been awarded the  Lescarbot Award (1991).  This award is named in honour of Mac Lescarbot, Canada’s first cultural volunteer and recognizes individual commitment to the arts and the community, The Order of Canada (1995), The Order of Ontario (2004), Golden Jubilee (2002), established the Arch Brown Entrepreneur Award of Excellence, winner of Business Ambassador Award, along with endless commendable recognized efforts of Arch and Helen Brown.

Brown also holds an incredible array of honours including the Chamber of Commerce’s Hall of Fame, Honorary Colonel of Canadian Forces Base Borden, a senator of the Grey and Simcoe Foresters, the Governor-General’s Commemorative Medal for Canada’s 125th anniversary, and the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal.
